Savings Methodology

How PayGrouper defines order savings, membership treatment and verified public results.

Public savings definitions

Original bill or retail amount
The eligible bill amount or the retail product total used for the completed order.
PayGrouper price
The amount the customer pays through PayGrouper for the eligible order, as recorded by the active calculation and checkout flow.
Amount Grouper covers
The difference between the eligible original amount and the PayGrouper price when that difference is positive.
Gross order savings
The order-level savings before any applicable membership cost.
Account access cost
PayGrouper account access is currently free.
Net savings
With free account access, verified net savings equal verified gross order savings.

Which orders qualify for verified public results?

Verified public savings data must use completed, paid, non-refunded customer orders. The following are excluded:

  • Test orders
  • Pending or unpaid orders
  • Cancelled or refunded orders
  • Draft orders
  • Promotional examples that were not completed customer orders

Order-status definitions

Pending orderExcluded until completed and paid.
